Super League Round V: Meghna Singh’s 4 wicket haul hands Uttar Pradesh victory as Karnataka fail to make to the semifinals of Senior Women’s T20 Trophy
Meghna Singh along with other bowlers of Uttar Pradesh bowled out Karnataka cheaply to qualify for the semifinals of the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy. Batting first, they put a score of 75 in 20 overs and later defended the score successfully as they took all the 10 wickets of Karnataka.

Karnataka won the toss and elected to field first. Uttar Pradesh while batting made a total of 75 runs. Anita Lodhi 12(19) and Aditi Sharma 19(41) steadied the run score. Captain Nishu Choudhary and Meghana Singh made 14 and 11 runs respectively. They lost 9 wickets while they put up 75 runs on the scoreboard. From Karnataka, it was Chandu Venkateshappa who scalped 2 wickets.
In the 2nd innings, Karnataka had a terrible start with both the openers departing on ducks. They lost more wickets as Uttar Pradesh bowlers didn’t let them settle. Divya Gnanananda and Prathyoosha Kumar were the two batters who managed to score more than 10. While Divya made 12 off 13, Prathyoosha scored 13 runs facing 36 balls. The rest of the batters could not show resistance in this knockout match. The bowling from Uttar Pradesh was exceptional as they put constant pressure on the Karnataka batters. Meghna Singh led the pack as she obtained a 4-wicket haul. Shefali Sahu also dismissed 2 batters. Karnataka were bowled out on 47 runs within 18 overs.
