It was a day of close matches as Uttar Pradesh lost to Vidarbha by 2 runs. It was a narrow win for Vidarbha at Devineni Venkata Ramana Praneetha Ground in Mulapadu. Batting first, Vidarbha made 106 runs losing 7 wickets. In reply, Uttar Pradesh made 104 runs and handed a 2-run victory to Vidarbha.

Bharti Fulmali played a captain’s knock as she took her team out from a tense situation. After both the openers were dismissed cheaply, Fulmali stayed on to make 45 runs in 34 balls. Krutika Pophali 24(34) and Latika Inamdar 16(14) were the other batters that scored in double digits. Together they took Vidarbha’s score to 106/7 at the end of 20 overs. Meghna Singh and Aditi Sharma of Uttar Pradesh took 2 wickets each.

Captain Nishu Choudhary was the top scorer from Uttar Pradesh. Her 29-ball 38 along with Muskan Malik’s 59-ball 33 brought the team close to the target. Anita Lodhi 11(21) and Aditi Sharma 13(23) also added to the team’s score They finished on 104/5.
Uttar Pradesh, though lost fewer wickets than Vidarbha, scored 2 runs less to lose the match.

Vidarbha: 106/7 in 20 overs
Uttar Pradesh: 104/5 in 20 overs

Result: Vidarbha won by 2 runs.
