Odisha, who batted first, saw opener Madhuri Mehta playing a good knock. In a scenario where wickets kept falling, she scored a well made 49 off 61 balls. She was the lone batter of the side who scored in double digits, with the captain Madhusmita Behera scoring only 7 runs which came second. The damage was done by Vidarbha’s bowling line-up, especially by Nupur Kohale and Vaishnavi Khandkar. They both tore the opposition. While Kohale had a 4-wicket haul, Khandkar scalped 3 wickets. Odisha finished at 76/9 after batting their 20 overs.
It was an easy chase for Vidarbha, as they scored with a good run rate. Opener Disha Kasat made 20 runs in as many balls while Vaishnavi scored 35 runs off 49 balls adding to her tally of 3 wickets.
