THAILAND WINS AS MALAYSIA SUFFERS A BATTING COLLAPSE
Malaysia decided to let Thailand bat first after winning the toss. Malaysia made 114 runs for a loss of 5 wickets after 20 overs. Naruemol Chaiwai scored 64 runs in 66 balls, her second half century in the tournament. While playing against Hong Kong, she made 57 runs and became the first player in the tournament to score a half century. Malaysia’s Winifred Duraisingam and Jamahidaya Intan took 2 wickets each. Malaysia Women batted for 16 overs but could only cumulate 27 runs. This is one of the lowest score by any team in the tournament so far, Hong Kong being the lowest scorer with 23 runs. Thailand captain, Sornnarin Tippoch took 4 wickets. Naruemol Chaiwai was declared Player of the Match for her half-century. Thailand Women have won all their matches in the tournament so far.
