MALAYSIA’S COLLAPSE LED UAE WOMEN TO A 86 RUN WIN!
UAE won the toss and decided for their opponent to field first, as has been the case in the tournament so far. Chaya Mughal, Kavisha Egodage and Chamani Seneviratne contributed to set a target of 126 for Malaysia. Malaysia captain, Winifred Duraisingam took 2 wickets. Malaysia started their innings decently but could not stop the flow of wickets of the middle order. From 31/3 in 7.4 overs to 39/10 in 12.6 overs, Malaysia faced a quick collapse and UAE won the match by a huge margin of 86 runs. Chamani Seneviratne and Esha Rohit took 3 wickets each. Chamani Seneviratne was declared Player of the Match for her innings of 33 runs from 23 balls and her 3 wickets and economical bowling.
