Shemaine Campbelle has been one of the most versatile cricketers in West Indies women’s cricket for over a decade. Born in Berbice, Guyana, she began her career as a bowler who batted in the lower order before gradually developing into a dependable middle-order batter and occasional wicketkeeper. Shemaine Campbelle’s International Career
Campbelle made both her ODI and T20I debuts against South Africa in 2009 and made an immediate impact, claiming 3 for 7 on her T20I debut and earning Player of the Match honours. In 2013, she produced one of the most remarkable innings in women’s ODI history, scoring an unbeaten 105 against Sri Lanka to become the first woman to score a century batting at No. 7 or lower in ODIs. She was also a member of the West Indies side that won the 2016 Women’s T20 World Cup, contributing to the team’s historic triumph.
Heading into the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup, she is the most-capped T20I player in West Indies women’s history, having played 154 matches in the format.
