Amy Jones is one of the most experienced players in England women’s cricket. She is known for quick wicketkeeping, calm batting, and performing well under pressure. Over the years, Amy has become an important player for England in both ODI and T20 cricket.

Amy started playing cricket at a young age in the West Midlands. Before focusing fully on cricket, she also played football. Her strong performances in local cricket helped her move into England’s academy and development teams quickly.

She made her England debut against Sri Lanka in 2013. In the early part of her career, Amy did not get regular chances because Sarah Taylor was England’s first-choice wicketkeeper. Even with fewer opportunities, Amy continued working hard and improving her batting and wicketkeeping.

One of the biggest moments of her early international career came in 2018 when she scored 94 runs against India in Nagpur. That innings showed her confidence and ability at the highest level. After that, she became a regular member of England’s white-ball teams.

Amy has also captained England before. In 2022, she led the team during the home series against India when Heather Knight and Nat Sciver-Brunt were unavailable. She handled the pressure calmly and showed strong leadership skills.

Amy Jones made her T20I debut for England against Pakistan on 5 July 2013. Since then, she has become one of England’s most trusted wicketkeeper batters in T20 cricket. So far, Amy has played 128 T20I matches and scored 1667 runs with a strike rate above 120. Her highest score in the format is 89, and she has scored five half-centuries in T20 internationals.

Amy is known for playing important innings in the middle order and giving stability to England’s batting lineup. She can also score quickly when needed during pressure situations. Behind the stumps, Amy has taken many catches and stumpings for England in T20Is. Her quick glove work and safe hands make her a very important player for the side.
