Tuba Hassan is a Pakistan women’s cricketer who is known for her leg-spin bowling in T20 cricket. She has become an important spinner for Pakistan because she can take wickets and stay calm in pressure moments. Tuba can also score some useful runs in the lower order when the team needs support.

She started playing cricket in Lahore and later played domestic cricket for Lahore, Higher Education Commission, and Quetta. Her good performances in local matches helped her earn a place in the Pakistan national team at a young age.

Tuba first earned recognition in 2022 when she was picked in Pakistan’s squad for the Sri Lanka series. Before that, she was also named as a reserve player for the 2022 Women’s Cricket World Cup. Her hard work and strong bowling performances helped her move into the national side very quickly.

Tuba Hassan’s T20I Career

Tuba Hassan made her T20I debut for Pakistan against Sri Lanka on 24 May 2022. She had a dream start to her international career and impressed everyone with her bowling performance.

On debut, Tuba took 3 wickets for only 8 runs in her four overs. These were the best bowling figures by a Pakistan women’s player on T20I debut at that time. Her brilliant bowling helped Pakistan win the match and made cricket fans notice her talent.

So far, Tuba has played 42 WT20I matches for Pakistan and taken 27 wickets. Her best bowling figures are 3 wickets for 8 runs. She has bowled more than 700 balls in T20 internationals and has an economy rate of 6.37.

Tuba mostly bowls in the middle overs and tries to break partnerships. Her leg-spin bowling gives Pakistan another attacking option in T20 cricket. She also changes her speed well and makes batting difficult for opponents.

With the bat, Tuba has scored 89 runs in T20Is, and her highest score is 28. She has also hit 7 fours and 1 six in international T20 cricket. Along with bowling, she has taken 9 catches and has shown safe fielding skills on the ground.

One of the biggest moments of her career came in 2022 when she won the ICC Women’s Player of the Month award after her excellent debut series against Sri Lanka. She became the first Pakistan women’s cricketer to win this award.

Later in the same year, the Pakistan Cricket Board gave her a central contract because of her strong performances.

Tuba was also part of Pakistan’s squad for the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup and continues to be an important spinner for the team.

Recent Form Ahead of ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026

Before the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, Tuba Hassan played in Pakistan’s home T20I series against Zimbabwe in May 2026. She took wickets in the series and bowled with good control. Tuba took 1 wicket for 8 runs in one match and 1 wicket for 17 runs in another game.

With her leg-spin bowling, T20 experience, and calm mindset, Tuba Hassan can play an important role for Pakistan in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.
