Diana Baig is one of the main fast bowlers in the Pakistan women’s cricket team. She is known for her pace bowling, energy on the field, and strong mindset.
Diana comes from Gilgit-Baltistan and became the first woman cricketer from the region to play for Pakistan. Before cricket, she also played football for Pakistan at the international level. She was interested in many sports while growing up, including football, javelin throw, and shot put.
Her cricket journey started with street cricket and local matches. In 2010, she became captain of the Gilgit-Baltistan women’s team. Later, she played for Pakistan A before getting a place in the national side.
Diana Baig’s T20I Career
Diana Baig made her T20I debut for Pakistan against West Indies in November 2015. She has played 55 T20I matches and taken 39 wickets for Pakistan and her best bowling figures are 3/26.
Diana mainly bowls with the new ball and tries to give Pakistan early wickets. She is also a very good fielder and has taken many important catches during matches. Over the years, she became a regular player in Pakistan’s T20 team. She was also part of Pakistan’s squads for the 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cups.

Apart from international cricket, Diana has played domestic T20 cricket for teams like Islamabad, Federal Capital, Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited, and Higher Education Commission.

Recent Form Ahead of ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026
Before the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, Diana played in Pakistan’s series against Zimbabwe and South Africa earlier in the year. With her experience and pace bowling, Baig will once again be an important player for Pakistan in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.
