For Bangladesh Women, Sanjida Akter Meghla was the pick of the bowlers, claiming three key wickets including Hunter, Orla Prendergast who scored 6, and Louise Little who scored 10. Marufa Akter also made early inroads by dismissing Alana Dalzell for a duck and removing Lewis, while Rabeya Khan, Mostary, Ritu Moni, and Nahida Akter chipped in with a wicket apiece to keep the pressure on the Irish batting lineup.

She was well-supported in the containment effort by Rabeya Khan, taking 1 wicket for 9 runs in her 2 overs.

Ritu Moni picked up 1 wicket for 26 runs from her full quota of 4 overs, while Sobhana Mostary and Nahida Akter chipped in with a wicket each, conceding 14 and 39 runs respectively. Bangladesh Women fell short in their chase, finishing their 20 overs at 132/6. Opening batter Juairiya Ferdous led the charge with a solid half-century, scoring 50 off 38 balls with 10 boundaries, while Sharmin Akhter provided a steady 27 off 40 deliveries. Captain Nigar Sultana added a quick 19 off 14 balls, and Shorna Akter remained unbeaten on 12 from 9 balls, alongside Nahida Akter who finished not out on 7 off 3 balls.

Ireland’s bowling attack was heavily spearheaded by Maguire, who dismantled the middle order to finish with four massive wickets—dismissing Dilara Akter for a duck, Sharmin Akhter, Nigar Sultana, and Sobhana Mostary who scored 2. McBride and Canning chipped in with one wicket each, removing Ferdous and Ritu Moni who scored 8 respectively, to restrict Bangladesh and secure the win.

Aimee Maguire delivered a standout performance for Ireland Women, dismantling the opposition by capturing 4 wickets for just 20 runs across her full quota of 4 overs. Ava Canning and Lara McBride provided valuable support by claiming a wicket each, finishing with figures of 1/19 from 3 overs and 1/17 from 2 overs respectively. Cara Murray also delivered a highly economical 4-over spell, conceding a mere 21 runs without reward.

The remaining bowlers, Arlene Kelly’s figures were 0/11 in 2 overs, Orla Prendergast’s figures were 0/12 in 2 overs, Alana Dalzell’s figures were 0/17 in 2 overs, and Georgina Dempsey’s figures were 0/14 in 1 over, all went wicketless but collectively helped defend the total to cross the line.

For Ireland, a brilliant late-order cameo by Ava Canning (21* off 8) propelled them to a competitive total, which was then brilliantly defended thanks to a standout, four-wicket haul by spinner Aimee Maguire. On the other hand, Bangladesh stumbled due to a lack of urgency in their top order, where Sharmin Akhter’s slow 27 off 40 balls drained the momentum, combined with a costly spell from Nahida Akter.
