Southern Brave led by skipper Georgia Adams defeated the Oval Invincibles led by skipper Lauren Winfield-Hill by seven wickets at the Kennington Oval in the 22nd match of the tournament. London Spirit led by skipper Heather Knight were all set to face Manchester Originals led by skipper Sophie Ecclestone at Lord’s London in the 23rd match of the season.

London Spirit skipper Heather Knight won the toss and opted to field first. After being inserted to bat first, the Manchester Originals openers Beth Mooney and Laura Wolvaardt got their side off to a steady start with a 13-run opening partnership. Charlie Dean cleaned up Laura Wolvaardt to provide the first breakthrough for London Spirit. Emma Lamb joined Beth Mooney at the crease and the duo stitched a crucial 16-run partnership for the 2nd wicket. Charlie Dean came back and picked up the wicket of Beth Mooney to provide the 2nd breakthrough for her side.

Evelyn Jones soon followed her back to the pavilion to provide the third breakthrough for London Spirit. Kathryn Bryce joined Emma Lamb at the crease and the duo stitched a much-needed 44-run partnership for the 4th wicket to take their side past the 50-run mark. Sarah Glenn picked up the wicket of Kathryn Bryce to provide the 4th breakthrough for her side.

Skipper Sophie Ecclestone soon followed her back to the pavilion to provide the 5th breakthrough for London Spirit. Fi Morris joined Emma Lamb at the crease and the duo stitched a much-needed 21-run partnership for the 6th wicket to take their side closer to the 100-run mark. Deepti Sharma picked up the wicket of Emma Lamb to provide the 6th breakthrough for her side.

Manchester Originals eventually ended up with a total of 112/7 in their quota of 100 deliveries. Kathryn Bryce (32 off 27 balls), Emma Lamb (28 off 26 balls), Beth Mooney (20 off 17 balls), and Fi Morris (17 off 13 balls) were the top performers with the bat for Manchester Originals. Charlie Dean (20-9-20-3), Sarah Glenn (20-8-20-2), and Deepti Sharma (20-6-24-1) were the top performers with the ball for London Spirit.
