As the anticipation builds, cricket enthusiasts around the world eagerly await the commencement of the third season of The Women’s Hundred. Set to kick off on 1st August, this prestigious tournament promises to deliver yet another thrilling display of women’s cricket prowess. Among the eight teams competing, the Northern Superchargers gear up to unleash their power-packed performances and make a resounding mark.

The Northern Superchargers have had an intriguing journey in the previous editions of The Women’s Hundred. The team showcased immense potential in their debut season. However, the subsequent year presented some challenges, leading to a bottom-half finish in 2022. The Superchargers managed to secure their highest finish, claiming the 5th spot in the table.
The Northern Superchargers enter the 2023 edition with a well-balanced squad, boasting a combination of experienced international stars and talented domestic players. Under the guidance of their coaching staff and skipper, they have prepared meticulously to conquer the competition.
Alyssa Healy, the dynamic Australian wicketkeeper-batter, was set to play a pivotal role for the Superchargers. However, an injury during the side’s recently concluded tour of Ireland resulted in her unfortunate withdrawal from The Women’s Hundred. Despite this setback, the team management swiftly secured a worthy replacement in the form of left-hander Phoebe Litchfield.
The team’s overseas roster also includes the Australian duo of Georgia Wareham and Jemimah Rodrigues. Wareham, an accomplished leg-spinner, brings her expertise to add potency to the bowling attack. Amidst an injury setback, the Northern Superchargers received a significant boost with the return of Jemimah Rodrigues. The talented Indian batter, who excelled in the inaugural edition of The Hundred, missed the majority of the previous season due to a wrist injury. While she was not retained in the initial draft, Rodrigues has now made a comeback as a replacement player.
