Players to watch out for
The right handed top order batter of France top scored with an unbeaten 50 off 57 balls against Jersey yesterday. Coming in to bat in the very first over, she stabilized the innings and helped her team put up a modest score on board.
The right arm seamer from France was the top performer with the ball as she scalped 2-18 in 3.4 overs, including one maiden, against Jersey yesterday. She opened the bowling and bowled well with the new ball striking twice in the very first over of the innings.
The all-rounder from Austria won the player of the match in her last match against Spain. The right handed batter opened the batting and top scored with 49 runs off 51 balls. With the ball, the right arm seamer struck with 1-23 in four overs.
Jo Antoinette Stiglitz:
The captain of Austria made a useful contribution of 36 not out from 39 balls against Spain in her last appearance. The right handed middle order batter hit three boundaries during her innings. She came in to bat in the sixth over and was there till the end.
The venue is expected to offer a good contest between bat and ball. While the batters will get full value for their shots, bowlers on the other hand can yield rich dividends by being consistent with their lines and lengths. A score in the range of 120 to 130 could be par.
The weather is expected to be mostly sunny, however there is a yellow warning for thunderstorms till 4pm. There will be 24 percent cloud cover and 25 percent chance of precipitation. The average temperature will be around 22 degrees Celsius and the wind will blow from the north-northeast.
