Pakistan’s prolific batter Sidra Amin is all set to embark on a new chapter in her life. The 32-year-old recently took to Instagram and shared a post captioned, “Counting down the days until forever” hinting at her wedding.
Known for her elegant batting, Sidra Amin has been a vital part of Pakistan’s batting set-up. It was in April 2011, that Sidra Amin made her international debut for Pakistan in a T20I match against Ireland. Less than a week after her T20I debut, the right-handed batter made her ODI debut against Sri Lanka.
Amin has been an integral part of Pakistan’s batting order and one of her standout performances came in the 2022 World Cup where she was Pakistan’s leading run scorer in the tournament, scoring 206 runs in seven innings, including her maiden ODI century which came against Bangladesh.
The opening-batter also holds the record of the highest individual score for Pakistan in the ODIs, for her unbeaten 176 in November 2022 which also saw her earn the ICC Player of the Month. The Pakistani batter has played over 130 matches across formats aggregating over 2700 runs.
