It was a match between Asia’s giants and we were sure expecting some great scores and last ball thriller to say the least. However, this turned out to be a one side affair, favoring Pakistan Women the most.

Sri Lanka Women did not start very well. And lost Yasoda Mendis in the form of a runout, with just 4 runs on the scoreboard.
Chamari Jayangani was now joined by Dilani Surangika, & they both put together 44 runs in the next 7 overs, when Nahida Khan picked the wicket of Dilani on 24 off 23 (2×4 & 2×6) with the score at 48, & very soon also picked Chamari Jayangani on 31 off 36, with the score on 63 off 10.3 overs.
Eshani Kaushalya & Prasadani Weerakkody together contributed 17 runs, but Sri Lanka Women kept losing wickets at short intervals after that & ended the innings on 112 for 8 in their allocated 20 overs.
Pakistan openers Ayesha Zafar & Javeria Khan started off well. But lost Ayesha, who was playing the supporting role, with the score on 30 in 5.5 overs.
Captain Bismah Maroof walks in, adds a 34 run partnership. Till Eshani Kausalya picked her when she was on 17 off 21 & Pakistan Women on 64 off 11.2 overs.
And that was it for Sri Lanka Women, Pakistan Women cruised from there. Opener Javeria Khan was adjudged player of the match who remained not-out on 56 off 51 (5×4) along with Nain Abidi on 28 off 24.
Pakistan Women achieved the target of 113 with the loss of only 2 wickets in 18.2 overs.
