As the inaugural edition of the Women’s Twenty20 (T20) Emerging Asia Cup reaches its fag end, the 1st Semi-Final is scheduled for the 18th of June, 2023. The clash between the ‘A-sides of India and Sri Lanka will take place at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground, at 6:30 AM Indian Standard Time (IST).
Despite rain abandoning their last couple of games, both teams secured a spot in the Semi-Final with victories in their season openers. While India registered a dictating 9-wicket win over Hong Kong, Sri Lanka registered a thrilling 3-wicket win over the United Arab Emirates.

Trisha Gongadi
The 17-year-old batter featured for the India U19 side at the inaugural U19 World Cup and enjoyed an impressive campaign registering the best of 57 against Scotland. Trisha got her campaign underway with a score of 19*.
Shreyanka Patil
The 20-year-old spin all-rounder on the back of a notable stint with the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) made it to the India A squad and on debut produced stellar bowling figures of 5/2.
Imesha Dulani
The 21-year-old batter has played only a game for the senior national side and it had come in the One-Day International (ODI) format. Imesha in the tournament opener had a decent start contributing 15 runs.
Madushika Methtananda
The 28-year-old all-rounder debuted for the senior national side back in 2019, however, only played a game. Madushika in the opener scored an unbeaten 11* and produced bowling figures of 4/16.

The 22-yard strip at the venue, pleases the bowlers, particularly the spinners. The spin-friendly conditions result in an average score in the 70s, requiring batters to exhibit discipline to get to a competitive total.
