Titans Women endured a shaky start as opener Tebogo Macheke fell without opening her account for 0 off 4 balls, clean bowled by Ayanda Hlubi in the very first over (0.6 ov). Joining skipper Laura Wolwaardt at the crease, Sune Luus helped stabilize the innings during a crucial 67-run second-wicket partnership. Luus worked hard for her 30 runs off 59 balls (3 fours) before Seshnie Naidu shattered her stumps in the 19th over (18.3 ov) with the score at 68/2. Shortly after, Luyanda Nzuza was trapped leg-before by Jade de Figueiredo for a sluggish 2 off 11 balls (21.3 ov, 77/3).

De Figueiredo struck again soon after, removing skipper Anneke Bosch caught-and-bowled for 4 off 8 balls (23.3 ov, 84/4), and trapped Masabata Klaas lbw for 3 off 6 balls (25.4 ov, 92/5). Despite wickets falling rapidly at the other end, Laura Wolwaardt produced a masterclass performance, anchoring the entire innings with a sublime unbeaten 123 off 129 balls, including 13 boundaries and a maximum. Small partnerships were formed to support her: Miane Smit added 17 off 35 balls (2 fours) in a 42-run stand before being caught behind off Michaela Andrews (35.5 ov, 134/6).

Naidu then struck twice in quick succession, dismissing Eliz-Mari Marx (5 off 4 balls) caught by Yasmeen Khan (36.3 ov, 139/7) and A Mgwenya (8 off 9 balls) caught by Nyovane (38.3 ov, 149/8). Caitlin Wyngaard then joined Wolwaardt to provide a crucial late-flourish 79-run unbroken stand for the ninth wicket, chipping in with an unbeaten 26 off 38 balls (1 four) to steer Titans Women through their full quota of 50 overs, closing their innings at 228/8.

The Dolphins bowling performance was anchored by spin, with Seshnie Naidu leading the stats with an economical 3/39 in 10 overs. Jade de Figueiredo produced an equally impressive spell of 3/36 in 8 overs. Fast bowler Ayanda Hlubi picked up 1/46 in 7 overs, while Michaela Andrews bowled tightly for her figures of 1/29 in 7 overs. Nonkululeko Mlaba provided controlled restriction with 0/37 in 10 overs (1 maiden), alongside supporting efforts from Alexandra Candler (0/23 in 5 overs) and Nondumiso Shangase (0/16 in 3 overs).

Chasing 229 for victory, Dolphins Women found themselves in immediate trouble against a disciplined Titans bowling attack. Opener Robyn Searle was trapped lbw by Masabata Klaas for 1 off 9 balls in the second over (1.3 ov, 1/1). Yasmeen Khan followed shortly, scoring 4 off 15 balls before catching one off Eliz-Mari Marx to wicketkeeper Macheke (4.4 ov, 7/2). Alexandra Candler managed only 5 off 20 balls before becoming A Mgwenya’s first victim, caught again by Macheke (11.2 ov, 26/3).

Dolphins skipper Nondumiso Shangase fought hard to rebuild, top-scoring for her side with a resilient 44 off 57 balls (6 fours). She constructed a 38-run stand with Asakhe Nyovane, who made a crisp 18 off 21 balls (3 fours) before being clean-bowled by Mgwenya (17.3 ov, 64/4). Paulinah Mashishi then tore through the Dolphins middle and lower order, triggering a disastrous collapse. Mashishi first removed Shangase caught by Bosch (22.4 ov, 80/5), and on the very next ball, dismissed Michaela Andrews for a golden duck (0 off 1 ball) caught by Bosch (22.5 ov, 80/6).

The procession continued as Asamkele Kawu was run out for 7 off 20 balls by a combination of Bosch and Macheke (24.3 ov, 82/7). Mashishi then picked up her third wicket, removing Seshnie Naidu for 3 off 13 balls (caught Nzuza, 26.5 ov, 91/8), followed by Jade de Figueiredo, who played a brisk 15 off 18 balls (2 fours) before being caught by Klaas off Mashishi (30.1 ov, 108/9). A final 34-run 10th-wicket resistance was staged by Ayanda Hlubi (16 off 25 balls, 1 four) and Nonkululeko Mlaba (22 not out off 22 balls, 3 fours), before Hlubi was run out by Wyngaard and Smit in the 37th over (36.6 ov), folding Dolphins Women for 142 in 37 overs.
