China Women produced a composed chase to defeat Indonesia Women by six wickets with nine balls remaining in the China Women’s T20I Tri-Series encounter in Hangzhou on August 24, 2026.
The match began with Indonesia Women facing an immediate setback after Maria Corazon was dismissed for a two-ball duck by Ma Ruike, leaving Indonesia at 1/0 after just two deliveries. Ni Luh Dewi then joined Desi Wulandari, but Ma Ruike struck again to remove Ni Luh Dewi for a four-ball duck, reducing Indonesia to 2/0 inside the opening over. Desi tried to rebuild the innings and found support from Ni Putu Ayu Nanda Sakarini, who played an important anchoring role. The pair added 10 runs before Desi Wulandari was dismissed for 8 off 11 balls, with Chen Xinyu taking the catch off Ma Ruike at 3.3 overs. China Women began their chase steadily, with Wang Huiying and Wei Haiting putting together a useful opening partnership. Wei Haiting continued to occupy the crease and was joined by captain Mingyue Zhu. Maypriani was again responsible for the dismissal, putting China at 41/2. The Chinese captain then took control of the chase, building a 13-run partnership with Jiaping Li. However, Jiaping Li was run out by Maypriani for 3 off eight balls, leaving China at 54/3. Cai Yuzhi came and went quickly, scoring a duck from one ball before being dismissed by Maypriani, with China reduced to 54/4.
At 54/4, Indonesia briefly sensed an opportunity to force a tense finish, but Mingyue Zhu kept her composure. She remained unbeaten on 11 from 19 balls and combined with Gong Yuting to complete the chase. Gong Yuting scored an unbeaten 6 from nine deliveries, and the pair added the remaining 11 runs to take China Women to 65/4 in just 13.3 overs. China therefore completed a six-wicket victory with nine balls still unused. Maypriani was the standout bowler for Indonesia, taking 3/8 from three overs and dismissing Wang Huiying, Wei Haiting and Cai Yuzhi.
Ni Made Putri Suwandewi conceded 12 runs from three overs while taking no wickets, Dara Paramitha bowled one over for six, Ni Ariani conceded 17 from three overs, Lie Qiao gave away 11 runs from two overs, and Ni Luh Dewi finished with 7 runs conceded from 1.3 overs. Indonesia’s bowlers were unable to build on Maypriani’s breakthroughs, allowing China to recover from 54/4 and finish the match without further damage.
