Players to watch out:

Emma Lamb

The 26-year-old opening batter accumulated 200 runs from 6 CE Cup outings last summer at a strike rate of 140.84. Continuing her impressive form from the ’24 One Day matches to the CE Cup, Emma has notched up scores of 36, 63*, 10, and 20. She has been in notable form this domestic season and can be relied upon to lead the scoring.

Fi Morris

The 30-year-old all-rounder amassed 209 runs and scalped 7 wickets from 8 games in the CE Cup last summer. Fi has been further impressive this domestic season, in the T20 matches, registering scores of 6, 41, 11, 43, and 1, while also producing bowling figures of 1/15, 1/25, 0/17, 3/22, and 1/18. She can be counted on for all-round efforts.

Freya Kemp

The 19-year-old left-arm pacer has scalped as many wickets from 12 T20Is, including the best of 2/14, while maintaining an economy rate of 7.32, and is more than handy with the bat. Freya hasn’t bowled yet this season but has been among the runs. Her scores from the ’24 CE Cup read 6, 55*, 2, and 34, and it’ll be hoped she capitalizes on these scores.

Freya Davies

The 28-year-old pacer bagged 4 wickets from 5 outings, maintaining an economy rate of 7.76, in the 2023 CE Cup. Freya has been in excellent form this domestic season, and in the T20 matches, she has bagged 7 wickets from 5 games, with figures of 3/22, 0/27, and 1/30 in her previous 3 outings. She hasn’t been required with the bat yet but count on her for the goods.

Pitch:

The Old Trafford wicket provides a certain degree of assistance to the batters, and the average score at the venue is in the 160s. Although it is a batting-friendly surface, bowlers too remain in the game, particularly the pacers.

Weather:

The cloudy Manchester overhead doesn’t pose a threat to the game as the chances of rain are minimal. The temperature is expected to hover around 15°C, with moderate winds and humidity at 67%.
