Players to watch out:
Batting all-rounder Scholfield is coming off a 30 in her last encounter which was hosted in Blackpool. The opening batter will look to steady the ship in the powerplay and exercise good stroke play once she’s set.
Davies brings into this SouthEast Stars contingent valuable experience. The fast bowler’s average is just 22 in WT20I’s making her a viable key player. She’s bowled in good areas and will look to be among the wickets more often.
Jones is a regular for the British unit. She came in after Sarah Taylor’s international stint. And has lived up to the expectations. The 29-year-old batter has had a comprehensive season on top of the order.
Potts has been regularly inflicting damage to the opposition by taking wickets at timely intervals and has not given the opposition the chance to stabilize their scoring rates. With figures of (1/14), (1/28), and (2/13) she’ll look forward to continuing the good work.
50 plus T20s have taken place at this venue, with an average first innings score of 176. Toss plays a crucial role here as teams opting to defend have a good success rate as compared to teams chasing.
The chances of rain linger around. With comfortable temperatures between 16 to 20 degree Celsius throughout the day.
