The Sunrisers and the SouthEast Stars are still in search of their first victories this season. Although the Sunrisers have only lost their opening match, the SouthEast Stars are facing the challenge of consecutive losses that they need to address.

Squads:

Sunrisers – Kelly Castle (C), Amara Carr (WK), Mia Rogers (WK), Scarlett Hughes (wk), Alice Macleod, Cordelia Griffith, Flo Miller, Jessica Olorenshaw, Jodie Grewcock, Katherine Speed, Saskia Horley, Dane van Niekerk, Grace Scrivens, Jo Gardner, Mady Villiers, Abtaha Maqsood, Eva Gray, Kate Coppack

SouthEast Stars – Bryony Smith (C), Kira Chathli (WK), Aylish Cranstone, Jemima Spence, Kirstie White, Madeleine Blinkhorn-Jones, Sophia Dunkley, Alice Capsey, Alice Davidson-Richards, Emma Jones, Kalea Moore, Paige Scholfield, Phoebe Franklin, Ryana Macdonald-Gay, Tash Farrant, Alexa Stonehouse, Bethan Miles, Claudie Cooper, Danielle Gregory, Freya Davies

Players to watch out:

Cordelia Griffith

The 27-year-old batter is yet to make her debut for England across formats, however, has got plenty of experience featuring in a few domestic squads. Griffith has had some sort of a start to the season scoring a 52 in the opener.

Kelly Castle

The 25-year-old pacer who’s played all her cricket for cricket for Essex awaits an international call-up. Captaining her troops, Kelly led the Sunrisers’ bowling attack in the opener with figures of 4-0-24-3.

Bryony Smith

The 25-year-old, in 8 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), has scored 57 runs and bagged a couple of wickets. However, international numbers alone fail to reflect Smith’s true quality. Her recent outing, a magnificent 83 off 47 balls, truly does justice to her abilities.

Phoebe Franklin

The 25-year-old pace all-rounder got her T20 season underway with figures of 53 and 1/19 and followed up with a valuable 12-ball 21*, but was caught off song with the ball having leaked 41 runs in 3.5 overs, despite a wicket to her name.

Pitch:

The center wicket at the venue is often covered in green, aiding the seamers and leading to low-scoring matches. However, batters can benefit from the true bounce and fast outfield once they get settled. A decent T20 total at the venue has resulted in numerous competitive games.

Weather:

The conditions at The Lord’s Cricket Ground, London, are forecasted to be pleasant for cricket, with sunny skies and a very slim chance of rain. The temperature is forecasted to hover around 16°C, with light winds and humidity of 60%.
