Complete Squad List of Bengal Women’s T20 Blast 2022

After a successful inaugural edition of the Bengal Women’s T20 Blast, the tournament has its 2nd edition due to get underway on the 5th of December at the MGR Cricket Academy Ground in Suri, Birbhum. The player draft for the upcoming 02 edition of the competition was recently held in Kolkata and the six participating clubs have picked their preferred players from a 90-player pool.

The double round-robin format has been retained for the upcoming edition as well which will see the 6 participating teams playing against each other twice and the top 4 then will advance to the Semi-Finals. The semifinals will have the team seeded 1st play the 4th and the 2nd and 3rd seeded teams compete for their respective spots in the Finals.

Cricket Association of Bengal’s (CAB’s), Vice-President, Amalendu Biswas, on the upcoming edition of the local competition said, “This is the second edition of the tournament and I am very happy that it is getting bigger every year. The players should make the best use of the meet to impress the selectors. Besides this kind of tournament will inspire other girls to take up cricket and CAB is doing a great job promoting this meet.”

The tournament this time around as well will see teams with 15 players each, including a pre-assigned captain and coach and the same is briefed below.

Coaches for the edition see Rituparna Roy in charge of the defending champions, Mohammedan Sporting and the runners-up, Rajasthan Club will be spearheaded by Gargi Banerjee. The third retained team, Kalighat Club will be coached by Prabal Dutta.
