Players to watch out:

Brishti Maji

The 20-year-old keeper-batter, from 4 outings in this competition, has added 81 runs to the tally at an average of 20.25. Brishti scored 19 runs off 12 balls batting in the middle-order in a recent game and followed up with a 39-ball 29 opening the innings. She has got runs under her belt, and it’ll be expected that she converts her string of starts into substantial scores.

Snigdha Bag

The right-arm bowler has had a notable campaign thus far, securing 6 wickets from 4 outings, maintaining an economy rate of 5.25, while not being required much with the bat. Snigdha, in her previous couple of outings, has recorded bowling figures of 1/19 (4.0) and 2/27 (4.0). It’ll be hoped she builds on this form, continuing to lead the tally.

Dhara Gujjar

The 21-year-old all-rounder, from 4 outings in the competition, has posted 98 runs on the board and also bagged a couple of wickets, with bests being 60 and 1/14. Though Dhara has departed cheaply for 3 (runout) and 13 (15) in her previous outings, she bagged a wicket each in both the games. She’ll be backed to step up her all-round efforts.

Prativa Mandi

The 16-year-old all-rounder has had a decent campaign, chipping in with 57 runs from 3 outings and picking up as many wickets at an economy rate of 5.50. Prativa has produced figures of 2/4 (3) and 0/27 (4) in her previous outings and also registered scores of 16 (15) and 17 (25). Given her form, count on her for contributions with both bat and ball.

Pitch:

The Jadavpur University Complex is a challenging venue for batters, as spinners, in particular, play a vital role in any team’s success. Teams have to be prepared to grind out a win in what is likely to be another low-scoring match.

Weather:

With rain in the lead-up to the game and in the latter stages of the game, the likelihood of a complete game is minimal. The temperature is expected to be around 31°C, with light winds and humidity at 84%.
