Bangladesh batters succumb to spin, being bundled out for 118

Bangladesh lost the wicket of their opening batter Murshida Khatun in the 2nd over of the innings after skipper Nigar Sultana Joty won the toss and opted to bat first in the 3rd and final ODI of the series. Cherry-Ann Fraser provided the first breakthrough for the West Indies. Sharmin Akter joined opening batter Fargana Hoque at the crease and the duo took their side past the 50-run mark with a much-needed 62-run partnership for the 2nd wicket.

Afy Fletcher broke the partnership by removing Fargana Hoque (22 off 65 balls) in the 20th over of the innings to provide the 2nd breakthrough for the home side. A horrible collapse saw the visitors lose their last 8 wickets for just 50 runs and as a result, they were bundled out for just 118 in the 44th over of the innings. Sharmin Akhter (37 off 58 balls), Sobhana Mostary (25 off 62 balls) and skipper Niger Sultana Joty (11 off 29 balls) were the only other batters to enter the double digits with the bat for Bangladesh.

Karishma Ramharack (6.5-0-12-4) was exceptional with the ball, alongside Zaida James (7-2-15-2), Hayley Matthews (10-3-19-1), and Afy Fletcher (10-0-22-1), providing brilliant support from the other end, not letting the Bangladesh batters get off the hook.
