The tournament will be played in the 20-over format. Hangzhou, China will be hosting this edition of the Asian Games.

India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka will directly feature in the quarter-finals of the event. The Final will be played on 25th September. All the matches will take place on Zhejiang University of Technology Pingfeng Cricket Field.

Event history in the Asian Games:

Women’s Cricket has been a part of the Asian Games just 2 times, which was in 2010 and 2014. Pakistan clinched Gold in both the previous editions, while Bangladesh finished as runners-up both times. In 2010 Japan thumped China to secure the Bronze Medal, while in 2014, Sri Lanka thumped China to win the Bronze Medal.
