Players to watch:

Elsa Hunter

The 17-year-old in 28 innings has got to 429 runs and has got the highest score of 53*. In the tournament alone, she’d started well against Pakistan with a mature 29*, but then couldn’t capitalise as she departed on single-digit scores. In the side’s most recent outing, she looked fine for her 18.

Natthakan Chantham

The 26-year-old in 52 innings has got to 1145 runs and has got the highest score of 88* to her name. In the tournament alone, she’s got a couple of starts, but failed to convert and there only was one such occasion when she got a 61 against Pakistan.

Sasha Azmi

The 21-year-old off-spinner in 22 innings has picked up 25 wickets and has got to the best figures of 4/20. In the tournament alone, she’s been in fine form having registered figures of 0/18, 0/37, 1/7, 1/15 and 2/10.

Thipatcha Putthawong

The 18-year-old slow left-arm orthodox in 15 innings has picked up 13 wickets and has got the best figures of 2/12. In the tournament, she too has been in fine form having registered figures of 1/23, 2/26, 1/21 and 2/12.

Pitch:

The 22 dry yards at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium please the spinners and pacers with variations can look to extract enough from the surface. The batters ideally should look to spend some time in the middle and then opt to switch gears in wanting to play aggressive cricket. With that said, a target around the 145 mark should bring to us a good competitive game.

Weather :

It simply could turn out to be a disappointing day of cricket if the rain gods don’t stay kind as the radar has rains forecasted from early morning hours till early evening and the temperature hovers around the late 20s and early 30s.
