Nepal Women U19 Hammer Singapore by 151 Runs, Sana Praveen Hits Unbeaten 98

Nepal Women U19 continued their excellent form in the ACC Women’s U19 Premier Cup 2026 with a huge 151-run victory over Singapore Women U19 in their Group D match at the YSD UKM Oval, Bangi, on July 12, 2026.

Nepal completely controlled the match with both bat and ball. Openers Sana Praveen and Sabitri Dhami shared a brilliant unbeaten opening partnership before the bowlers produced another excellent performance to restrict Singapore to just 48/8 in their 20 overs.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Nepal Women U19 finished with a strong 199/0 in 20 overs. Their two openers batted through the entire innings without losing a wicket and put together an outstanding 199-run partnership, which became the highest partnership of the tournament so far.

Sana Praveen played a superb innings and remained unbeaten on 98 from 70 balls. She missed out on a deserved century by just two runs but hit 13 boundaries during her excellent knock. She built her innings patiently at the start before increasing the scoring rate in the later overs.

At the other end, Sabitri Dhami also played an outstanding innings, finishing unbeaten on 78 from 53 deliveries. She struck 13 fours and gave Sana perfect support throughout the innings. The pair kept the scoreboard moving from the first over until the last and never allowed Singapore’s bowlers to settle.

Singapore Women U19 struggled to stop the flow of runs as none of their bowlers managed to break the opening stand. Nepal’s batters played with confidence, found the gaps regularly and punished every loose delivery.

Nepal also received useful support through the extras column. Singapore conceded 23 extras, including 19 wides, three no-balls, and one bye, helping Nepal finish with an imposing total of 199 without losing a wicket.

For Singapore Women U19, Zoe Arunima Diwedi Regine gave away 45 runs in her four overs, while captain Laasya Amrutha Reddy conceded 39 runs. Ankitha Varsha Raj, Roma Raval, Ananyah Ahuja, and Anushka Tomar also found it difficult to stop Nepal’s batters, and none of the bowlers were able to claim a wicket.

Chasing a massive target of 200 runs, Singapore Women U19 were under pressure from the very beginning. Nepal’s bowlers bowled with great discipline and kept taking wickets at regular intervals, never allowing the chase to get going.

Singapore lost their first wicket for just 5 runs when Anushka Tomar was dismissed. Pushpa Murali followed soon after for 1, while Jui Rameshwar Surwase was trapped lbw without scoring. Those early wickets left Singapore struggling at 7/3 inside the first four overs.

Ankitha Varsha Raj was the only batter to spend some time at the crease. She top-scored with 19 from 49 balls, hitting two boundaries. Captain Laasya Amrutha Reddy managed 4 runs, while wicketkeeper Dhwani Prakas added 8. The remaining batters were unable to make much of an impact as Nepal’s bowlers stayed in complete control throughout the innings.

Nepal’s bowling attack was outstanding once again. Anu Kadayat was the best bowler with excellent figures of 3 wickets for 4 runs in four overs. Manisha Upadhayay supported her well by taking 2 wickets for 9 runs, while Riya Sharmaalso claimed 2 wickets for 10 runs. Captain Sony Pakhrin picked up one wicket, and the remaining bowlers maintained pressure by bowling accurate lines and lengths.

Singapore Women U19 finished on 48/8 in their 20 overs, handing Nepal Women U19 a convincing 151-run victory.

Following this result, Group D saw Nepal Women U19 collect 4 points from 2 matches with 2 wins and 0 losses, along with a net run rate of +6.400. Qatar Women U19 finished with 2 points from 2 matches with 1 win and 1 loss, and a net run rate of -0.675. Hong Kong China Women U19 also had 2 points from 2 matches with 1 win and 1 loss, along with a net run rate of -1.685. Singapore Women U19 finished with 0 points from 2 matches after 2 losses, with a net run rate of -4.289.
