Hong Kong, China Women U19 registered a comfortable three-wicket victory over Singapore Women U19 in the ACC Women’s U19 Premier Cup 2026 at the Bayuemas Cricket Oval.

Chasing a target of 117, Hong Kong reached 117/7 in 17.4 overs, getting over the line with 14 balls to spare after restricting Singapore to 116/5. While wickets fell at regular intervals, the chase never spiralled out of control with Singapore’s costly extras ultimately proving decisive.
After being put in to bat, Singapore lost an early wicket when Pushpa Murali was bowled 2(8) with the score on eight. Jui Rameshwar Surwase also found scoring difficult and was dismissed for 3(13) leaving Singapore struggling at 13/2 after six overs. The innings was rebuilt through an excellent partnership between Anushka Tomar and Ankitha Varsha Raj, who added 92 runs for the third wicket.
Tomar anchored the innings from one end, finishing unbeaten on 59(55) with seven boundaries, while Ankitha played the perfect supporting role with 35(38), striking 4 fours. Their stand lifted Singapore beyond the 100-run mark and gave the innings much-needed momentum after the early setbacks.
Hong Kong fought back effectively in the closing overs to prevent Singapore from posting a bigger total. Ankitha was dismissed by Nimbra Arab in the 19th over, while Storm Emise Parker struck twice in the final over, removing captain Laasya Amrutha Reddy for 2(3) and Kamal Raja for 1(3).
Karthika Chelladurai remained unbeaten on 0(1) alongside Tomar as Singapore finished on 116/5. Hong Kong’s bowling effort was shared across the attack. Storm Emise Parker was the standout performer with 2/11 in four economical overs, while Arna Senthivel (1/19), Leung Man Kei Megan (1/19) and Nimbra Arab (1/31) picked up a wicket each.
The chase began positively as Poon Hoi Lam struck 9(8) before becoming Laasya Amrutha Reddy’s first wicket. Storm Emise Parker then added 14(19), sharing a useful stand with wicketkeeper So Wan Tung, who top-scored for Hong Kong with 19(24). The pair ensured Hong Kong stayed comfortably ahead of the required rate before Parker was dismissed by Karthika Chelladurai.
So Wan Tung departed soon after, bowled by Anushka Tomar, while Wong Wing Kiu Hailey managed 3(12) before falling to Ankitha Varsha Raj. Ankitha struck again in the same over to dismiss Arna Senthivel for 0(2), briefly giving Singapore hope.
Nimbra Arab contributed 2(10), while Mahnoor Tauqeer chipped in with 9(11) before becoming Laasya’s second wicket. Leung Man Kei Megan held her nerve with an unbeaten 11(24), guiding Hong Kong through the closing stages alongside Tong Sui Ting, as the winning run arrived with 14 balls remaining.
Singapore’s bowlers produced a disciplined effort despite the defeat. Ankitha Varsha Raj returned 2/18, while Laasya Amrutha Reddy finished with 2/22. Roma Raval (1/16), Anushka Tomar (1/10) and Karthika Chelladurai (1/8) claimed a wicket each.
The biggest difference between the two sides came through Singapore’s lack of control with the ball. Hong Kong received 50 extras, including 34 wides, four no-balls, six byes and six leg byes, meaning nearly half of the winning total came without the batters having to score.
Those lapses ensured Hong Kong never came under sustained pressure despite losing seven wickets, as they completed a well-managed chase to secure another important victory in the tournament.
Anushka Tomar’s unbeaten half-century earned her the Player of the Match award, but Hong Kong’s composed chase and Singapore’s expensive extras ultimately defined the outcome of the contest.
