Mahirah Izzati Ismail
The 23-year-old all-rounder in T20Is, from 33 innings, has accumulated 324 runs and from 35 outings has scalped 37 wickets, with respective bests being 44* and 3/8. In the opener, Mahirah registered figures of 0/10 (1) and scored 24* off 33 balls. She’ll be banked upon for the goods.
Mas Elysa
The 22-year-old all-rounder has racked up 1005 runs from 65 outings and bagged 30 wickets from 37 innings, including respective bests of 59 and 6/3. Continuing to be impactful, Mas returned figures of 2/7 and also scored a fine 53-ball 35. It’ll be expected of the seasoned campaigner to lead the charts.
Aysha
The 33-year-old all-rounder has amassed 560 runs and taken 17 wickets from 28 T20I appearances and registered bests of 113* and 3/18. Aysha was a standout in the opener, scoring a 17-ball 27 and also finishing on figures of 1/22 (3). It’ll be hoped she makes the most of this start.
Saachi Dhadwal
The 17-year-old all-rounder, from 28 T20I outings, has managed 295 runs, including the highest of 51*, and also struck 16 wickets, including the best of 2/8. Saachi produced figures of 2/8 in the opener and though she departed for 5, can be trusted to deliver with the bat, while continuing her bowling form.
Pitch:
The Selangor Turf Club wicket is a balanced one, and the even surface is a highlight. The wicket provides scoring opportunities for batters and wickets for bowlers, and pacers, in particular, are effective on this pitch.
