Anushka Sharma, Yastika Bhatia to Lead India A Against Australia A in Multi-Format Series

The Women’s Selection Committee has announced the India A squads for Australia A Women’s tour of India, which will feature three T20s, three One-Day matches and a Multi-Day fixture from 12 September to 2 October 2026.

The announcement comes on the eve of the sixth edition of the ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup, scheduled to be held in the United Arab Emirates from 28 August to 13 September, with India beginning their campaign against Thailand on 30 August.

India, led by Harmanpreet Kaur at the Asia Cup, have been placed in Group A alongside Thailand, Hong Kong and Pakistan. The Asian powerhouse, 2012, 2016, and 2022 champions, will open their campaign against Thailand, captained by Naruemol Chaiwai, in the third match of the tournament at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium from 8 PM IST.

While the senior side focuses on continental glory, the India A programme will provide a valuable platform for emerging and established domestic performers to test themselves against Australia A. The T20 leg will be played in New Chandigarh, followed by the One-Day series at the PCA Stadium in Mohali. The tour will conclude with a four-day Multi-Day fixture in Dharamshala.

Anushka Sharma will lead India A in the T20 series, with Sayali Satghare serving as vice-captain. The squad has variety across the bowling and all-round departments.
