BCCI announces three member Cricket Advisory Committee, Sulakshana Naik included

BCCI has appointed a three-member Cricket Advisory Committee which constitutes of Madan Lal, RP Singh, and former Indian Wicket-keeper Sulakshana Naik. This committee will be in operation for 1 year which is untill 2021.

Madan Lal was in the Squad led by Kapil Dev which bought World cup home in 1983. He has represented India in 39 Tests and 67 ODIs. After his retirement, he served as the coach of the national side and was also a member of the senior selection committee. Lal was happy to be part of the panel. “It is an honor,” he said, making it clear that he is waiting to hear from the BCCI on the future course of action.

R.P Singh has played for India in 14 Tests, 58 ODIs and 10 T20Is, he was in the squad when India lifted the T20 World Cup in 2007.

Sulakshana Naik has served for Nation in 2 Tests, 46 ODIs and 31 T20Is in a career of 11 years. Naik is looking forward to the new role.

“It is a big responsibility and I will try to fulfill my duties,” she said.

The committee is probably set to have a discussion in the next few days in order to plan the interview process for the senior national selection panel.
