Hong Kong Women, after being asked to bat first, faced early pressure as Indonesia’s bowlers kept the scoring rate under control. Captain Natasha Miles struggled to get going and was dismissed for a two-ball duck, falling to Ni Made Putri Suwandewi, leaving Hong Kong searching for stability early. Mariko Hill attempted to rebuild the innings but managed only 4 runs from 4 balls before Suwandewi struck again. The early setbacks brought Yasmin Daswani and Shanzer Shahzad together, and the pair tried to steady the innings, but Indonesia continued to apply pressure.

Yasmin Daswani played the key innings for Hong Kong Women, anchoring the batting effort with a patient half-century. Desi Wulandari then joined the rebuilding effort and played a steady innings, scoring 22 runs from 27 deliveries with two boundaries. Ni Luh Dewi played one of the most influential knocks of the match, scoring 20 runs from just 14 balls at a strike rate of 142.85, including three fours. Her dismissal brought another breakthrough for Hong Kong, but Indonesia remained firmly ahead in the chase. Captain Ni Putu Ayu Nanda Sakarini provided the finishing touch with an unbeaten 20 off 25 balls, while Ni Kadek Fitria Rada Rani contributed a valuable 19 off 23 deliveries. Hong Kong Women’s bowlers fought hard despite defending a modest total. Iqra Sahar was economical, taking 0/10 in 2.3 overs, while Alison Siu bowled four overs for 18 runs. Kary Chan claimed two wickets for 24 runs in four overs, providing the biggest breakthrough moments during the chase. Marina Lamplough picked up one wicket for 15 runs in two overs, Maryam Bibi took one wicket for 21 runs in four overs, and Joyleen Kaur conceded 16 runs from two overs without taking a wicket.
