Summary: Match 4 – Nattakan Chantam and Onnicha Kamchomphu land Thailand a 9 Run victory over India A

In the second match of the day, Thailand women won the toss and chose to bat. Opener Nattakan Chantam took charge and scored a match-winning 82 runs from 71 balls. She hit 11 fours and a six in that lethal knock. She was ably assisted by Boochatham who contributed a vital 25 before falling prey to Meghana Singh.

The openers laid the foundation while Sutthiruang contributed some essential runs lower down the order. 2 wickets in 2 balls in the 17th over from spinner Sushree Dibyadarshini restricted Thailand to 132.

India A started the chase with an early wicket of in-form opener Madhuri Mehta. Priya Punia played cautiously scoring 23 runs while Jincy George showed some attacking temperament in her knock of 44 off 40 balls.

India A lost three successive wickets in 18th over with two terrible run-outs including captain Manali Dakshini and a duck for Meghna Singh This proved to be the turning point and put the match in the visitor’s favor. Thailand won the match by 9 runs while India A is virtually out of this tournament with their second consecutive loss.
