The first day of the Paytm Women Quadrangular T20 series experienced some high octane cricketing action in Patna. Bangladesh registered a comfortable victory over India A

In the first match, opting to bowl first, Bangladesh tigresses were off to a flying start. In the very first over of the innings, they managed to send star batswoman Priya Punia back to the dugout for a duck. Opener Madhuri Mehta then struck a vital partnership with Nikita Chauhan in the middle overs to stabilize the innings. Bharti Fulmali also contributed vital 20 runs lower down the order but India A were all bundled out for a meager 96 runs courtesy clinical bowling from the opposition. Bangladesh chased this modest target with ease. Even though their chase was dented with two quick wickets in the 6th over of their innings; wicketkeeper batswoman Nigar Sultana (32 from 31) and Fargana Hoque (24 from 25) took their side to victory.
