Cricket Australia has confirmed their squad for the upcoming Under-19 Women’s Tri-Series, with Australia set to host England and Sri Lanka in a multi-format competition across Brisbane and the Gold Coast in April.

The schedule outlines a structured tournament featuring both 50-over and T20 matches. The series is expected to provide a crucial development platform for emerging players, while also offering competitive exposure against two strong international sides.
Australia’s 14-player squad for the series will be led by Western Australia’s Tegan Williamson. The squad reflects a balanced mix of batting depth, bowling options and all-round capability, drawn from across the country’s state systems.
Australia Women U19 Squad for Tri-Series:
Tegan Williamson, Alyssa Dermody, Ira Aery, Eva Baird, Mia Barwick, Ava Drury, Shiloh Julien, Aurora Mavros, Emily Powell, Indira Panelli, Ayla Johnson, Chelsea Sonter, Ayaka Stafford, Filippa Suesee
The tri-series will open with the 50-over leg at Ian Healy Oval, where Australia will face England on April 6. This opening fixture is expected to set the tone for the tournament, with both sides eager to make an early statement. Australia will then take on Sri Lanka on April 8 at the same venue, with both matches scheduled to begin at 1:30 PM local time.
These opening games will allow teams to settle into the competition and refine combinations in the longer format, where building innings, managing bowling workloads and executing plans over extended periods are key. For Australia’s young squad, it will also be an opportunity to translate domestic form into an international setting.
The tournament will then transition into the T20 phase, with matches shifting to Bill Pippen Oval. Australia will meet England again on April 11 before facing Sri Lanka on April 13, with both fixtures scheduled for 1:30 PM starts. The change in format will demand a more aggressive approach, placing emphasis on power hitting, innovative stroke play and sharp fielding.
The final leg of the series will return to Brisbane, with Ian Healy Oval hosting the remaining matches. Australia will take on England on April 15 in a day-night fixture beginning at 4:00 PM, adding another layer of challenge with changing light conditions and different match dynamics. The campaign will conclude on April 18 with a morning match against Sri Lanka, starting at 10:00 AM.

Beyond the on-field action, the series is also notable for the experience within the Australian coaching group. Former national captain Meg Lanning will be involved as a development coach, working alongside head coach Kristen Beams and assistants Lisa Keightley and Clive Rose. Their presence is expected to provide valuable mentorship, particularly in helping players adjust to the tactical and mental demands of international cricket.
With England and Sri Lanka also bringing competitive youth sides, the tri-series shapes as a significant benchmark event. The mix of formats, venues and match conditions ensures players are exposed to a wide range of challenges, making the tournament a key step in their development.
