She has played over 300 matches in international cricket, scoring over 7,000 runs, and she has picked up over 300 wickets for the Australian side. The Australian star also has a habit of breaking records, and she clearly seems to have no limitations in her cricketing abilities. In her T20I career, she has scored 2,297 runs from 117 innings at a strike rate of 117, and she has also picked up 127 wickets from 139 innings at an economy rate of 5. She became the youngest Australian ever to play international cricket when she debuted against New Zealand in 2007, just before her 17th birthday. Remarkably, she debuted in the T20I format against England in 2008, when she was just 17 years old, and she became the youngest wicket-taker in the format. Recently, in the 3rd T20I of the series against the West Indies Women, Ellyse Perry, who is 35 years and 140 days old, dismissed Jannilea Glasgow to become the oldest wicket-taker for Australia in the T20I format as well.

Ellyse Perry has had a great track record in international cricket as she has been consistent for her side. She played a vital role in all of Australia’s World Cup victories, and the most iconic of them all would be her phenomenal bowling spell against the West Indies in the 2013 ICC Women’s World Cup Final, where she picked up 3 wickets and gave away just 19 runs in her spell of 10 overs, and she could barely walk. Her batting gained prominence between 2014 and 2019, when she scored a solid double century in the Ashes at Sydney, and she has 5 international centuries to her name in her career. Her excellence in franchise cricket simply cannot be ignored, as she is one of the most sought-after players in every women’s cricket franchise league across the world. She has played over 100 matches in the WBBL, and she became a run machine for the Sydney Sixers. She is undoubtedly a cricketing legend who continues to inspire women across the world in various sports, with her deep commitment and relentless spirit for the game.
