Cricket South Africa has confirmed the Proteas Women’s T20 International (T20I) and One-Day International (ODI) squads for the upcoming limited-overs inbound tour against Pakistan, scheduled to run from 10 February to 01 March. The tour will span multiple venues, including Potchefstroom, Benoni, Kimberley, Bloemfontein, Centurion and Durban, marking a significant stretch of home international cricket for the national women’s side.

The Proteas Women will assemble in Potchefstroom on Thursday, 05 February, ahead of the three-match T20I series from 10 to 16 February. Attention will then turn to the 50-over format, with ODIs scheduled for 22 and 25 February, before the tour concludes with the fifth edition of the Black Day ODI at Kingsmead Stadium in Durban on Sunday, 01 March.
Importantly, the ODI series signals the start of South Africa’s new ICC Women’s Championship (IWC) cycle, which forms the qualification pathway to the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in 2029. Laura Wolvaardt will captain the Proteas Women across formats, leading a squad that blends experience with youthful promise.
South Africa T20I Squad for Pakistan Series:
Laura Wolvaardt (C), Tazmin Brits, Nadine de Klerk, Annerie Dercksen, Ayanda Hlubi, Sinalo Jafta, Marizanne Kapp, Ayabonga Khaka, Masabata Klaas, Suné Luus, Karabo Meso, Nonkululeko Mlaba, Chloé Tryon, Dané van Niekerk, Kayla Reyneke
The inclusion of Kayla Reyneke stands out, with the young all-rounder named as an uncapped player and potentially in line for her international debut. The squad also sees the Dané van Niekerk retain her spot, after a successful return from retirement against Ireland, adding depth and leadership to the group.

South Africa ODI Squad for Pakistan Series:
Laura Wolvaardt (C), Tazmin Brits, Nadine de Klerk, Annerie Dercksen, Lara Goodall, Ayanda Hlubi, Sinalo Jafta, Marizanne Kapp, Suné Luus, Karabo Meso, Nonkululeko Mlaba, Tumi Sekhukhune, Nondumiso Shangase, Chloé Tryon, Faye Tunnicliffe
The ODI squad features a strong core of senior players, with a slight shift in personnel to suit the demands of the longer format. Several players move in and out between the two squads. Dané van Niekerk, Ayabonga Khaka, Masabata Klaas and Kayla Reyneke are included in the T20I squad but do not feature in the ODI group. Conversely, Lara Goodall, Tumi Sekhukhune, Nondumiso Shangase and Faye Tunnicliffe are selected for the ODI series only, strengthening the side’s depth in the 50-over format.
The presence of all-rounders Marizanne Kapp and Chloé Tryon across both squads ensures balance, while the spin attack will once again rely heavily on Suné Luus and Nonkululeko Mlaba.
As South Africa begin a new championship cycle and continue building toward long-term World Cup goals, the Pakistan series presents a valuable opportunity to refine combinations, integrate new talent and establish early momentum on home soil.
