The second match of the Quadrangular Women’s T20 Series in Thailand 2025 was an exciting contest between Thailand Women and Namibia Women, held in Bangkok.

Thailand Women posted a competitive total of 124/5 in their 20 overs, which proved sufficient to defeat Namibia Women who were bowled out for 85 runs in 18.3 overs. Thailand won the match by a margin of 39 runs, with Onnicha Kamchomphu earning the Player of the Match award thanks to her match-winning bowling performance.
Thailand set the tone early on with a confident batting performance. Nannapat Koncharoenkai led the way with a solid 46* runs off 43 balls, while Nattaya Boochatham contributed 27 runs in 31 balls. The pair stabilized the innings and helped build a competitive total.
Their innings ensured Thailand posted runs at a steady pace without losing too many wickets. Slyvia Shihepo was exceptional with the ball for Namibia, picking up 3 wickets by just giving 25 runs in her 4 overs spell. Victoria Hamunyela was economical in her 4 overs spell by just giving 12 runs and picking up a wicket as well.
In reply, Namibia Women struggled to keep up with the required run rate during their chase. Despite a resolute 30 from Sune Wittmann and 12 from Yasmeen Khan, they could not match Thailand’s intensity. The Namibian innings fell apart as they lost wickets at regular intervals and eventually were dismissed for 85 runs inside 19 overs.
On the bowling front, Onnicha Kamchomphu’s outstanding spell of 5 wickets for 18 runs in 4 overs tangled Namibia’s batting lineup and stifled their chase. Alongside her, Sunida Chaturongrattana contributed with a tidy performance, taking a wicket while conceding only 8 runs in 2 overs. The bowling unit complemented the batswomen’s effort well and sealed the victory for Thailand.
Namibia had a couple of good bowling performers themselves in Sylvia Shihepo and Victoria Hamunyela. Shihepo was the most successful bowler for Namibia, claiming 3 wickets for 25 runs in 3 overs. Hamunyela also bowled economically, taking 1 wicket for 12 runs in 4 overs. However, their efforts fell short as Namibia’s batting could not capitalise.
Thailand Women showed a balanced and focused team performance across batting and bowling disciplines. They controlled the match from start to finish and deservedly won by 39 runs. Onnicha Kamchomphu was the star player with her all-round contributions that turned the match decisively in Thailand’s favour. This victory will boost Thailand’s confidence as the Quadrangular Series progresses.
