Devika Vaidya

The captain of the India A and the emerging team is leading from the front. The second team of India is having a good run on the field and it’s the captain who has been magnificent. In the ongoing Women’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup, she scored an unbeaten 43 to win over Sri Lanka. Her batting, as well as wicket-taking abilities, have earned her many Player of the Match awards. Last year, as part of the India A team, she had also hit a century against England.

Yastika Bhatia

Yastika Bhatia who opens for the emerging teams is another player to watch out for. The Baroda player has been consistently performing for whichever team she played in. Sushree Dibyadarshini

Sushree Dibyadarshini is an off-break bowler from Odisha. She is someone who takes wickets in the middle overs and breaks partnerships. She is having a good emerging Asia Cup in Sri Lanka. In the 2 games that India played, Sushree got two 3-wicket hauls. In the Women’s T20 Challenge that was held this year, she had scalped the big wicket of Stafanie Taylor while representing team Velocity. Sushree also performed well in the A tour of Bangladesh where she had also bagged 3 wickets in the 1st ODI.

Nuzhat Parween

Nuzhat Parween is another rising star among the emerging players of India. A former footballer, Parween has captained Madhya Pradesh’s under-16 football team. Her rise in cricket saw her performing well for her state team and then getting selected for the national team. She was also a part of the senior squad which reached the finals of the World Cup in 2017. Her recent performances show her credibility as a player. In the 1st ODI against Bangladesh A, Parveen was the standout performer for India. She scored 51 runs and remained not out while chasing the target of 105 runs set by Bangladesh. She was also awarded the Player of the Match award in that game. Parween is also performing well in the ongoing Women’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup. She made 44 runs in 68 balls as India defeated Pakistan.

Tanuja Kanwar

Tanuja Kanwar is a left arm medium pacer. The 21-year-old is a handy bowler and is ready to break into the international scene. Hailing from Himachal, Kanwar is a consistent bowler of the India A and emerging side. She bagged 3 wickets as India won over Sri Lanka in the emerging Asia Cup match. She had also obtained two 3-wicket hauls in consecutive matches of the ODI series against Bangladesh A team.
