Pakistan led by skipper Zoofishan Ayyaz finished at the bottom of the table as they remained winless in the inaugural edition of the ACC Women’s Under-19 Asia Cup 2024, played in the T20 format in Malaysia. As a result, they were unable to qualify for the Super Four Stages of the tournament.
The wicket-keeper batter Komal Khan has been named as the skipper of the Pakistan Under-19 side, which will be involved in the upcoming 2nd edition of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2025. The inaugural edition of the tournament was hosted by South Africa in 2023, the upcoming edition of the tournament will be hosted by Malaysia.
A total of 16 teams namely, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Nepal, Nigeria, Samoa, Scotland, the United States of America (USA), and the hosts Malaysia are divided into four groups, A, B, C, and D respectively.
The tournament will commence on 18th January 2025 (Saturday) and conclude on 2nd February 2025 (Sunday). The top three teams from each of the four groups will qualify for the Super Six stages of the tournament from 25th January 2025. Then the top two teams from each of the two groups in the Super Six stages of the tournament will progress to the Semi-final on 31st January 2025.

There are only a couple of changes in the squad, Memoona Khalid and Minahil replacing Fizza Fiaz and Rozina Akram, from the one that participated in the inaugural edition of the ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2024 in Malaysia.
Pakistan are placed in Group B alongside England, Ireland, and the USA at the 2025 U19 World Cup. They will kick start their campaign against the USA in the 5th match of the opening day of the tournament on 18th January 2025.
