Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) Shreyanka Patil, who not only represents RCB in the Women’s Premier League, is also a huge fan and supporter of the franchise. With the Indian Premier League mega auctions underway, the RCB star and fan girl expressed her emotions regarding the auction on her ‘X’ handle.
Shreyanka Patil, who recently won the WPL trophy with RCB and was the purple cap holder for them, played a key role in leading the team to their maiden title. She has previously shared her love for the franchise, having followed RCB since childhood. She also expressed that being picked by RCB and playing for them was a dream come true. Her support for the team has always been evident, and she has expressed her emotions about the franchise’s picks during the auction as well.
Before the auction began on 24th November, Shreyanka Patil expressed her excitement and anticipation, noting that the outcomes in the coming days would have a significant impact on the team’s future for the next three years. She wished good luck to RCB’s batting coach Dinesh Karthik and the management, eagerly awaiting the auction’s developments, especially with regard to her connection with Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
As the auction started, Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, who had been with RCB since the 2021 season, was released by the franchise ahead of the 2025 mega auction. Maxwell was picked by Punjab Kings for ₹4.20 Cr after RCB chose not to use the Right to Match (RTM) card to bring the Aussie star back. Shreyanka Patil expressed an emotional reaction to Glenn Maxwell not continuing with the franchise.
