The Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) Finals’ line-up is locked as we have come to the end of the league stages of the ongoing 10th edition of the marquee women’s T20 competition.
The Melbourne Renegades led by skipper Sophie Molineux earned the bragging rights for hosting the WBBL 10 Final. They finished at the top of the table with 14 points from 10 games including 7 victories in the league stages of the tournament. As a result of their top-of-the-table finish, they earned the right to host the title clash.
Brisbane Heat led by skipper Jess Jonassen finished 2nd with 14 points from 10 games including 7 victories. Sydney Thunder led by skipper Phoebe Litchfield finished 3rd on the points table with 13 points from 10 games including six victories and one washed-out game against the Sydney Sixers. The Hobart Hurricanes led by skipper Elyse Villani, sneaked through to grab the last spot courtesy of a three-wicket victory against the Perth Scorchers in the last game of their campaign.
Sydney Thunder will host the knockout game on 27th November 2024 against the Hobart Hurricanes at Drummoyne Oval, Sydney from 1:45 PM IST as they finished 3rd on the points table. Brisbane Heat will host the Challenger on 29th November 2024 as they finished 2nd on the points table. They will play the winner of the knockout game at the Allan Border Field, Brisbane from 1:45 PM IST.
The grand finale will be hosted at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on 1st December 2024 from 7:50 AM IST. The Melbourne Renegades led by skipper Sophie Molineux will be playing the winner of the Challenger in the Final.
