Indian star batter Jemimah Rodrigues, currently playing for Brisbane Heat in the Women’s Big Bash League season 10, showcased her signature fun personality by breaking into a dance on her arrival in Brisbane. Known for her lively spirit, Jemimah didn’t miss the chance to “shake it off” as her home team greeted her.
Jemimah was drafted by Brisbane Heat in the first round of the draft picks. She joined the team fresh from the home ODI series against New Zealand and has since played in three games, accumulating 63 runs.
This stint with Brisbane Heat is special for Jemimah as it reunites her with the trio she’s formed alongside Jess Jonassen and Shikha Pandey. This marks her third franchise league appearance after representing Delhi Capitals in India’s Women’s Premier League and Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League with them.
Currently, Brisbane Heat stands in 5th position on the points table with four points, earned through two wins and three losses. After a recent match against Sydney Thunder in Perth, where they fell short by 19 runs, the team returned home to play their next game against Adelaide Strikers on their home ground on 9th November at 1:45 IST, where at the airport Jemimah added her usual sparkle, dancing her way through the welcome.
