The duo of Shweta Sehrawat (40*) and Tejal Hasabnis (31*) resumed the 2nd day’s play, trailing the Charli Knott-led side by 112 runs. However, the pair just managed to add one run to their overnight score (100/2), before they lost the wicket of Tejal Hasabnis in the 3rd over of the 2nd day’s play.

Kate Peterson provided the 3rd breakthrough for her side. India A suffered a collapse as they lost their next four wickets for just 27 runs. Skipper Minnu Mani joined Sayali Satghare at the crease with their side in deep trouble and the duo found themselves in a dire situation at 128/7, trailing Australia A by 84 runs. The pair led some sort of a recovery with a 33-run partnership for the 8th wicket to take their side past the 150-run mark.

Nicola Hancock picked up the big wicket of the opposition skipper Minnu Mani to provide the 8th breakthrough for her side. India A were eventually bundled out for 184 in 73.1 overs, trailing Australia A by 28 runs. Shweta Sehrawat (40 off 120 balls), Tejal Hasabnis (32 off 71 balls), Shubha Satheesh (22 off 28 balls), Sayali Satghare (21 off 63 balls), and Mannat Kashyap (19 off 23 balls) were the top performers with the bat for India A.

Kate Peterson (12-5-16-5), Maitlan Brown (11-3-17-1), Nicola Hancock (12-2-29-1), Charli Knott (14-2-35-1), and Lilly Mills (7.1-0-27-1), were the top performers with the ball for Australia A. After getting first innings lead, Australia A got off to a horrible start as they lost a couple of wickets, including their skipper without a score on the board inside the first four overs of Australia’s 2nd innings.

Tess Flintoff soon followed her back to the pavilion to provide the 4th breakthrough for India A.

Maddy Darke joined the opening batter Emma de Broughe at the crease and the duo stitched a much-needed 43-run partnership for the 5th wicket to take their side close to the 100-run mark. Priya Mishra picked up the wicket of Emma de Broughe to provide the 5th breakthrough for her side. Maitlan Brown joined Maddy Darke at the crease and the duo stitched another crucial 54-run partnership for the 6th wicket to take their side to the 150-run mark.

Kate Peterson soon followed her back to the pavilion to provide the 7th breakthrough for India A. Lilly Mills joined Maddy Darke at the crease and the duo managed to survive a tricky five-over phase to see off the 2nd day’s play. With the lead inching closer to 200, Maddy Darke, who’s unbeaten on a well-deserved half-century (54* off 100 balls) would be hoping for support from the other end.

The pair would be keen to extend the lead to around the 250-260 run mark on the 3rd day’s play.
