The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced an intensive skills and fitness camp for women cricketers, set to take place at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. The camp, which runs from August 8 to August 24, aims to prepare the 25 selected players for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, scheduled to be held in Bangladesh from October 3 to 20.
The participants will gather at the National Cricket Academy on August 7, marking the beginning of a rigorous 17-day training program. The initial phase of the camp, running from August 8 to August 18, will focus fully on fitness training, including medical screenings, fitness assessments, and fielding drills. This segment is designed to ensure that players meet peak physical conditions and are well-prepared for the demands of the T20 World Cup.
From August 19 until the end of the camp, the players will engage in specialized skills sessions. These will feature extensive net practices and technical drills under the guidance of the national coaching staff, aiming to refine their cricketing skills and strategic play.
