Shafali, the right-handed batter, achieved this feat in her 114th inning by smashing a boundary. Shafali Verma made her debut in 2019 against South Africa, becoming the youngest ever to play T20I cricket for India at the age of 15.

In the same debut year, she scored her first T20I fifty in her fifth inning, notching up 73 runs against the West Indies. Following her fifty, she became the youngest half-centurion for India in international cricket. The Indian opener often reminds fans of Virender Sehwag with her fearless approach.

On making her Test debut in 2021 against England, she became the youngest Indian cricketer—male or female—to represent the nation in all three formats of the game. Shafali had an impressive year in 2021, being named the ICC Player of the Month in January and also being included in the ICC T20I Team of the Year.

Shafali Verma is eighth in the list of most runs scored, with 598 runs in five Test matches, continuing to reach new milestones in her young career.

In her young career, Shafali Verma has consistently demonstrated her exceptional talent and fearless approach, setting and breaking records along the way. The Indian opener has amassed over 3000 international runs which includes 21 fifties and one double century.
