With ICC World Cup Qualifier going on, Yasmeen Khan, the Namibian Captain is determined not only to qualify for ICC World Cup 2020 which is to be held in Australia but also making a statement for herself and the team by achieving some personal and some team targets. Each team in the tournament is playing for the spot in the World Cup, which is quite obvious and hence it’s no surprise that the Namibian captain’s main and foremost target is to clear the qualifiers.

In a recent conversation with ICC she stated “Obviously to qualify is the main target for us. Being the first time here, it is going to be a tall order, and reaching some individual goals will also be a big success for the team. We have a really good team culture, you can see we are a whole unit. On the field, there are not three teams on the field. That’s definitely one of our biggest strengths.”

Regarded as the underdogs in the tournament, Yasmeen really thinks her team can turn fortune on their side with a whole lot of hard work and dedication and has also expressed how the support from the home crowd will encourage them to do better.
