As Amy and Athapaththu shine, Loughborough Lightning defeated Southern Vipers at Southampton on Wednesday.
Winning the toss, Vipers skipper opted to the ball, opening the inning Amy and Athapaththu had a good partnership of 75 before the latter was dismissed for 35. Amy continued to play her natural game and scored her second fifty of season. Great news for Loughborough is that she is back to her best during the final stage of the tournament, in end, Elwiss played a cameo of 28 which helped Lightning to end the inning on 163.
Chasing the target of 164, the in-form Wyatt was out for a duck.No other batters played a responsible innings except for Morris. With the excellence in bowling by Chamari and Co, Vipers were bundled out for 127 losing by 35 runs.
On the whole, both the teams will be playing again in the eliminator, Loughborough will be high on confidence defeating vipers and whereas vipers will be looking for revenge. Have to wait and watch who will be other finalists of KSL 2019
