They finished at the top of the points table with 20 points to their name from 14 matches, including nine victories, three defeats and a couple of washed out games during the league stages of the tournament. Their defeats came against the Punjab Kings (PBKS), Rajasthan Royals (RR), and Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

The Shreyas Iyer-led side defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad led by skipper Pat Cummins by eight wickets in the 1st Qualifier in Ahmedabad. As a result of their top-two finish, they directly booked a spot in the final. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the final by eight wickets to clinch their 3rd Tata IPL title (2012, 2014, and 2024). “Alyssa Healy is my most favourite Australian right now and not Mitchell Starc. He is No.2. It’s good to have your family around on such a big occasion. Unfortunately, Alyssa had to leave. We spoke with her before the game and she sent across her wishes.” Venkatesh Iyer speaks about the team having a conversation with Alyssa Healy before the final.
