Deandra Dottin fills up her kitty with three awards at The Annual Cricket West Indies Awards

West Indies all-rounder Deandra Dottin took away all the three major women’s awards at the seventh annual Cricket West Indies(CWI)/WIPA awards. The 28-year-old right-hander was adjourned ‘Women’s Player of the Year’, ‘Women’s ODI Player of the Year’ and Women’s T20 Player of the Year’ awards.

Expressing her joy, the cricketer wrote on her twitter handle, “Giving God thanks for a great and successful year couldn’t be more proud of me and done it without him.” Dottin averaged 41.4 in ODIs with the highest score of 96 and also took 15 wickets in the period under consideration.

In T20Is, this is her second consecutive ‘Player of the Year’ award. She grew as an opener besides taking a remarkable 5/5 against Bangladesh during the 2018 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup at home. She also smashed 90* off 60 balls in the opening match of the series against Pakistan. Consequently, she reached to the top spot in the MRF Tyres ICC Women’s T20I Rankings for All-rounders in February this year.
